This year we are teaming up with How To Web (again) and Girls in Tech for a week full of tech and startups news and entrepreneurial education. Together we are working on establishing Bucharest Tech Feast, an yearly event that will take place during Global Entrepreneurship Week.

This year’s event winner will participate in Startup Weekend’s yearly Global Startup Battle, and will compete against more than 120 winning Startup Weekend teams all over the world, with prizes that include a free trip to Rio De Janeiro for Global Entrepreneurship Congress – sponsored by Global Entrepreneurship Week, a free trip to San Francisco to meet with founders, mentors, and investors sponsored by Startup Weekend, and many more.

Bogdan Iordache

Always searching for more than enough, Bogdan is definitely the engine and sometimes the bad cop of the How To Web team. Since he ended his studies, later than usual for an entrepreneur, he started a few online & educational projects (Conectoo, StagiiPeBune), part of them still being active and successful on the Romanian market. He finds great pleasure in helping entrepreneurs find their way and improving their businesses, but also in cooking and watching football.

Carlos Eduardo Espinal

As Partner, Carlos co-manages Seedcamp. His investment interests include mobile, gaming, social networks, and networking technologies.

Prior to Seedcamp, Carlos was a venture capitalist at Doughty Hanson Technology Ventures, an early stage investment firm based in London. Before Doughty Hanson, Carlos was an engineer for the Advanced Communications Technologies group of The New York Stock Exchange (SIAC) where he focused on the next generation of wireless and mobile trading platforms for the exchange. Prior to SIAC, he was a network security consultant for the professional services division of Baltimore Technologies where he worked with global clients in the telecommunication and data services sectors.

Carlos holds an MBA from the F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College and a B.S. from Carnegie Mellon University. Carlos was a 2005 recipient of the Paul F. Greene Telecommunications Research Award.

In his spare time, Carlos enjoys photography, blogging, and is on the steering committee of the European Venture Capital Network.
